Verdant Voyage Publishing was founded in 2024 by Lorenzo Hill to share the knowledge and insights he gained from raising quail—a journey that began in late 2020. Searching for a new hobby, Lorenzo explored homesteading and discovered Coturnix quail, which introduced him to the complexities of biosecurity and the vulnerabilities within our food systems. Along the way, he became deeply aware of habitat loss and the fragile relationships between plants, animals, and human health. These revelations shaped his perspective on food sustainability and its impact on society.

Driven to share this understanding, Lorenzo established Verdant Voyage Publishing—a name that embodies his mission. "Verdant" represents growth, learning, and sustainability, while "Voyage" reflects the journey of discovery, requiring knowledge, preparation, and community.
