Our Mission
At Verdant Voyage Publishing, our mission is simple: to educate, inspire, and empower individuals to reconnect with their food sources, embrace sustainable living practices, and strengthen their relationship with the natural world.
Our Story
Verdant Voyage Publishing was founded in 2024 by Lorenzo Hill, whose journey into sustainable living began in late 2020. Searching for a new hobby, Lorenzo discovered homesteading and the world of Coturnix quail. What started as a simple curiosity soon revealed deeper lessons about biosecurity, the vulnerabilities within our food systems, and the critical connections between plants, animals, and human health.
As Lorenzo worked closely with the land and its creatures, he became deeply aware of the growing threats of habitat loss and environmental change. These experiences reshaped his view of sustainability and sparked a passion to share this knowledge with others.
Verdant Voyage Publishing was born from this vision. The name itself reflects the heart of the journey: "Verdant" for growth, learning, and resilience, and "Voyage" for the ongoing adventure of discovery, preparation, and community building. Through our books and educational resources, we aim to inspire a new generation to care deeply about the food they eat, the world they live in, and the future we all share.
